Why iJoin?
As an industry, we have done a horrible job of ensuring that individual 401k/403b plan participants will have sufficient savings to generate sufficient income at desired retirement age. Most participants are not saving enough and many are not strategically invested.
DC providers today face the high price of new sales. Margins are shrinking due to high operational costs and low utilization of features. Participation rates and deferral rates have been flat for a decade.
Most enrollment materials are not personalized. Participant education has been largely ineffective. Paper processes are antiquated and wasteful in addition to requiring costly data re-entry. Many providers have developed great websites and guidance tools, but participants don’t use them or even realize they exist. Auto-enrollment has brought more participants into plans, but usually at very low savings rates which increases the need to communicate throughout their involvement in the plan.
